Heteronomy: It can be also a autonomy (a deep dive). A keypoint is self-integration. Deeply: stock, ways and standard(s) to create and define in a closed:flexible:dynamic way and process. Permanent expandability is also a keypoint. An idea: both ways of #muda.
The 5S method is a systematic approach to workplace organization from Lean Management, originally developed by Shigeo Shingō and Toyota to increase efficiency, safety and quality.
A main differene beetween 5S and 6S is the explicit inclusion of safety. It systematized, standardized and formalizes the focus on creating a secure work environment alongside improving efficiency.
My personal interpretation is: Safety (also known as sekyuri) is contained within the 5S. The 5S doesn’t require a separate point of safety. Safety is in and with people. It can represent a part of self-integration, also similar like „back to the rules“ and „back to the routs“. It can be a step (a process too), but should not a must. Is redundancy a correct term?
